Her birthday dress and accessories

We celebrated our daughter's  birthday this week. I am sharing with you the birthday dress and accessories I made for her.

Just have a look on this little princess...

I don't know whether to call this shade as purple or violet, but I love this color. I have used silk cotton and lace material with satin lining for the dress.

Made a small top similar to shrug and a bow to tie at the back.

I did some sequin and beads work in the top.

I made a small bag and hair clip with the remaining  material. She was very crazy to have such a bag. In fact was very happy on her birthday not for chocolates or cake, just for this little bag I made for her.

Sewing for summer

Its only mid march, but sun is very hot, almost it is summer in Chennai.

So  I have a plan to make some cool summer dresses for my daughter.

This is the first one...

a simple frock, with thin shoulder straps, providing more room for air.

I made it little bigger, just for her comfort.

Lace skirt

This lace material was there in my stash for more than six months. I decided to make a half circular skirt. I finished drafting and cutting. But no idea for the edges, I thought of fixing a lace and waiting to buy it. Mean time I was inspired by the scallop edges and made this...
