Neck design

This week's TAST challenge is detached chain stitch(lazy daisy). It is one of my favourite stitch. I made a decorative neck design using herringbone and detached chain in my blouse. The back ground in the picture is the saree, I have used some matching green color beads.

Woven trellis-TAST

I don't know why.. I had some difficulty in working this sitich. I made three flowers, but I am not satisfied. The samples in the flickr group are wonderful. I couldn't make it in the similar way, I am thinking of making it in some other thread but .....when?  check pintangle for tutorials

Raised chain variations-TAST

Though I finished this three days before, only now I could post the pictures. As usual I am very.... late. Having seen many samples in the flicker group, I could not think any more than this. I was influenced by the circles, semi-circles (especially shirley's) and ended here .....

What to do with the space in the centre...so add some beads which matches with the thread.

Here comes another ....I thought of making a circle but it turned as oval so I completed it like this

this  too have some space in the centre, I may work some stitches later when my creativity boosts.

Home Decor and TAST

I usually don't throw away  invitations, which are made with hand made paper. This is one such invitation which I changed as a home decor. I used this week's TAST- chained cross stitch to hide the part which has some messages.

Buttonhole wheel cup stitch

It was very interesting to work this week's TAST stitches. I worked many samples. This is the first one made with cone thread.

Then I  tried a smaller one, in orange color. And then purple color.

Then I thought of making this.

This stitch suited well for the centre part of the flower. I have used beads at the centre, to make it look like pollens. I might have used black color beads instead for red color so they may look more natural.

Up and down feather stitch

Aftera long time I had some time to work on TAST.  I worked some flowers in detached chain stitch along the feather stitch. The dots are made with 3D outliner.

Raised Herringbone Band- TAST 2010

I am a bit late to finish the last week's TAST 2010 work. I know, it is not very perfect. This is the first time I am doing lacing. In the inner round I have done the lacing in the different way. I corrected it in the outer rounds. I tried to remove the lace form the inner round but it was very difficult, so I left it as such. You can link to http://www.pintangle.com/ for TAST details

Fancy hem stitch

I have a chance to visit Sharon b's website. It is very interesting to take the challenge TAST-2010. Since I love embroidery, it is very thrilling to try the stitches. Those who are interested can have a look by clicking the following link
