Lace skirt

This lace material was there in my stash for more than six months. I decided to make a half circular skirt. I finished drafting and cutting. But no idea for the edges, I thought of fixing a lace and waiting to buy it. Mean time I was inspired by the scallop edges and made this...

I love the way it turned out...

I got the inspiration for the scallop edges here and she got it from here

I am linking this to the parties here

  2. What a beautiful skirt and a beautiful girl! How lucky she is to have a Mommy who sews such pretty things for her. My little girl is seventeen years old and is going to graduate from high school next year already, but I remember fondly sewing cute little outfits for her. Now she has her own style and no longer needs me to sew her clothes very often. We do still like to create flannel pajama bottoms for our cold winters.

  20. My mom was an amazing seamstress and my daughters sew beautiful quilts. The sewing skills skipped my generation. Whenever I see beautiful projects like this skirt . . . I think again, sewing could be fun.
